X Lite Vario by Tatonka - stands out for its exemplary design
All backpacks that come with the X Lite Vario carrying system are perfect for short treks and alpine tours. Unlike the larger trekking models, they are designed to carry medium loads. They are perfect for alpine tours where the weight has to be close to the body so it doesn’t get out of control if it shifts. The X Lite Vario carrying system has been specially designed for this purpose. Like the X1 system, it transmits the load from the back to the hip strap, but as it is made with fibreglass rods it is much lighter and more flexible. Thanks to the rubberised padding in the middle and extra concave back padding, the rucksack lies close against the body. It won’t wobble or move, even with intensive movements on your part – which ensures that you can continue safely on your way.
And so that every rucksack really does lie perfectly against your back, the shoulder straps can be adjusted precisely to the length of your back. However, the optimum fit of the rucksack is not just a question of comfort; in alpine settings in particular it is an extremely important safety consideration. That is why we have further developed our women’s range and designed the styles to suit the female form.
