The “Lechweg” will officially be opened as the first European quality trail in the middle of june: The trail of around 125 kilometers in length along the River Lech was the model project for the new European quality award “Leading Quality Trails – Best of Europe”. TATONKA is on site as the cooperation partner of the Lechweg.

Behind the quality seal “Leading Quality Trails – Best of Europe” there is a complex system of demanding criteria. The routes must be free from artificial fixtures, should provide views of attractive and varied natural landscapes and for the rambler should offer not only cultural sights but also resting facilities and good traffic connections. TATONKA supports the quality of this incomparable rambling trail as a cooperation partner and through its presence on site.
Two countries, three regions: The Lech promises diversity and fascination
The lively Lech river winds its way from its source in the Arlberg area through the Tyrolean Nature Park Region Lechtal-Reutte to the south of the Allgäu area, leaving its mark on the manifold flora and fauna along its banks, one of the most species-rich environments of Central Europe. On the Lechweg trail the rambler follows this fascinating river for some 125 kilometers, past an almost magical waterfall, past one of the largest ibex colonies in Europe, via the longest suspension footbridges of Austria and the royal castles of Bavaria. The drop down to the Lech falls is the spectacular finale of the Lechweg with all its diverse and exciting stages.
