TATONKA at camping fairs: Expert tips in your backpack
Before you buy a tent you should of course have full information on all the possibilities provided by the different types of tent – at the same time considering how long you will be on tour, how many persons need to be accommodated in the tent and in general the requirements the tent must meet. At a camping fair, visitors have access to all the information they need, they can try everything out and prepare and look forward to their adventure in nature. Experts are available to answer all your questions and to help all interested customers to find exactly the right tent.

Dome or tunnel tent? – The important factor is where your journey takes you.
Dome tents and geodats are designed to be self-supporting – the construction as a semi-dome remains stable even under a heavy load such as caused by storm or snow. The ground area is smaller than that of a tunnel tent, and so dome tents and geodats are particularly suitable for rocky or mountainous areas.

Tunnel tents are especially suited to regions with changing weather conditions: If erected with the narrow side in the wind direction, they have proven themselves to be extremely stable. Tunnel tents are supported by at least two parallel arch rods, making perfect use of the available space and in respect of their size are still quite lightweight. By coupling the interior and exterior tent, tunnel tents are erected and dismantled quickly and easily.
