What is it that fascinates us about trekking? // The term trekking is originally derived from "treks", the long, arduous and risky journeys of the first settlers in North America. And it's exactly this kind of tour that we as trekkers love: they should take us through extraordinary, unknown landscapes – and be full of great, unexpected challenges. Amidst so much uncertainty, however, we should be able to rely on one thing: our equipment. Thanks to the highly developed carrying systems for very heavy loads, our trekking rucksacks with a range of packsack volumes make light of this heavy work.
We have developed two solutions, the X1 and X2 carrying systems with a high quality, strong aluminium bar construction that are able to transmit heavy loads from the shoulders to the anatomically shaped hip strap - significantly reducing the load on the back. A major advantage, especially if you're on a trip lasting several days. Thanks to the high-tech concave padding, the system lies perfectly against the back. Another advantage: both systems are height adjustable, and can be adapted individually to any back length.
Because the optimum fit is of particular importance with heavy loads, we have also developed ladies' versions of all our trekking styles that are adapted perfectly to the specific requirements of the female form. Typically female: the narrower, more rounded shoulder straps that are more shaped across the front; adapted back lengths, and a more conical hip strap. Over the years we have gained considerable experience and skill in the manufacture and construction of rucksacks in our own development and production facilities.
