The main and base compartments can be separated, and equipment and luggage can be stowed on loops, straps or in the various pockets. And the rain cover supplied reliably protects the backpack and its contents from the rain.

Removable lid pocket and voluminous front pocket

The lid pocket of the trekking backpack can be removed and used as a shoulder bag – e.g. when the backpack remains in the accommodation. It can also be attached to the front of the shoulder straps for things you want to have to hand immediately. Made for loads over 25 kilograms, the Yukon X1 has a specially designed carrying system with internal, x-shaped rods that guide part of the load sideways into the padded hip belt, shifting the pack load from the back to the hips. The ergonomically shaped padding offers an excellent fit on the upper back, while the lumbar padding and the three-dimensionally shaped hip fins nestle comfortably against the hips and provide optimum support for efficient load transfer. The carrying system can also be adjusted to different back lengths.

The Tatonka Yukon X1 75+10 offers extensive storage and fastening options and is made from particularly tear-resistant and hard-wearing Cordura®. Useful safety feature for wilderness tours – the RECCO® reflector on the lid

We have equipped our large trekking backpack with a RECCO® reflector, which enables rescue organisations to quickly and safely locate missing persons in vast areas using the RECCO® helicopter detector. The reflector is small and light, does not require electricity or batteries, does not need to be maintained and always works.

Tatonka’s largest trekking backpack, with a volume of 85 litres, is suitable for extended trekking tours or expeditions where extensive equipment is required. This large backpack is also ideal for long backpacker trips. The backpack is equipped with a RECCO® reflector so that you can be found in the wild in an emergency.

X1 Carrying System for loads over 25 kilograms

The high-performance X1 Carrying System offers high wearing comfort and transfers the load absolutely efficiently to the pelvic area. It enables rescue organisations to quickly locate missing persons in large areas using the RECCO® helicopter detector. The reflector always works, requires neither power nor batteries and does not require maintenance.

The Yukon 70+10 BC offers generous 70 liters of volume and features a Molle-compatible fastening system on the front, sides and one hip fin, which allows you to add additional pouches or other equipment from the bushcraft range from Tatonka.

The lid of the backpack can be removed and attached to the shoulder straps as a front pouch – or used separately as a shoulder bag. The backpack also includes a hydration system preparation and an olive-colored rain cover.
