First Aid compact: First-Aid-Sets from TATONKA
A first aid kit for outdoor use must offer more than just that found in the customary first aid kits on sale which are mostly stocked with a range of different items but which often doesn’t contain what you really need when out in the wilds. Peter Oster, from Outdoorschule Süd: “In an emergency a gauze bandage cannot really be put to good use because it is not sterile and does not have a wound dressing. The bandages in the Tatonka First-Aid-Sets therefore contain a sterile, elastic bandage with a sewn-on wound dressing”.
Over the years of working together, Tatonka and the Outdoorschule Süd have developed a variety of different First-Aid-Sets ideally suited in size and contents for use in outdoor activities. Depending on how long the tour lasts and how many are in the group, outdoor enthusiasts have the right first aid set at hand.
Red and practical: First-Aid-Sets by Tatonka
First Aid Basic contains the basic items for day tours for one person and is also available in a watertight pouch: The waterproof pouch for the First Aid Basic Waterproof keeps the contents dry and ready for use even in driving snow, rain or water activities. First Aid Compact is designed for two persons on a tour lasting from one to three days; larger groups of up to four persons can chose First Aid Complete, containing the perfect complete contents for tours lasting up to a week. For guides on short tours and groups who are on a tour of up to two weeks, TATONKA and Outdoorschule Süd recommend First Aid Advanced, with which in an emergency up to six people can be cared for.
In addition, TATONKA also offers First-Aid-Sets for all purposes: First Aid School for schoolchildren on route to school in the lunch break or in their free time. Adults too should always carry a small emergency kit with them: First Aid Mini contains plasters, bandages and tick removal tweezers. First-Aid-Sets available in three sizes can be filled individually, the emergency backpack First Aid Pack and First Aid Family, a roomy first aid box with space for everything that families should take with them on holiday. The Tatonka first aid equipment range also provides a rescue blanket in aluminium metalized PE foil with good insulation properties and which optimally reflects the body’s own warmth.
High quality compact sets for immediate aid
When selecting the right First-Aid-Set you need to differentiate between different outdoor activities. Most important, however, is that the bag is immediately ready to use. Many Tatonka rucksacks have a compartment for a first aid kit in the top flap for quick and easy access. Tatonka fills its first aid kits with top quality products as only these guarantee optimum aid in an emergency. First-Aid-Sets for example, do not contain a roll of cheap plaster, as these often don’t stick properly; instead there is a top quality sport tape which is especially good for preventing blisters and also for fixing bandages in place. The scissors are ideal not only for cutting plasters to size but can also easily cut through thicker fabrics – extremely important, for example, if trousers have to be cut in order to get to the injury. The triangular bandage in tear proof material can be used to hold an arm steady or to cool a wound; it can also be used as a carrying sling for safe and comfortable transport of injured persons.
