Safe Travels with the TATONKA RFID-Block line
RFID is short for "Radio Frequency Identification“. Data can be transmitted and read via radio transmission. An RFID-reader decodes the data that are saved in a transponder and forwards them to a host system. The RFID-chip is integrated into many bank and ID cards as a "read-only" version but it can be read in passing. All you need is a reader and some criminal energy - and, voilà, a stranger has access to your confidential data.
Special fabrics offer protection by blocking radio waves such as aluminum or stainless steel. But even wallets or handbags that include a protection film can keep you safe from data theft. As does, for example, the TATONKA Money Box RFID B with a CRYPTALLOY-film and an additional compartment for money or the Hang Loose RFID B for your travels.
