Packing bags are extremely useful helpers for keeping track of your luggage and equipment at all times when traveling. At Tatonka you will find travel bags in many different designs and sizes: from flat zippered pouches for care utensils to cuboid packing cubes for sorting clothes in suitcases, travel bags or backpacks to waterproof pack sacks for canoe trips.
Packing bags for sorting luggage are made from lightweight materials, after all, they shouldn’t add extra weight to your luggage. They are available in different shapes and sizes as well as in sets of different sizes. Simple travel bags are cut flat and close with a drawstring. Drawstring bags with a little more volume, such as our SQZY Stuff Bag, have a rectangular base and are therefore easy to fill. Packing cubes such as our SQZY Pouch, on the other hand, can be considered the comfort version: They have a cuboid design and can be opened completely with an all-round zipper so that you can also store neatly folded clothing in them. Padded packing bags, on the other hand, are suitable for storing shock-sensitive equipment. If the bags have compression straps, you can stow your sleeping bag in them, for example, and then reduce the volume.
If you not only want to keep your luggage well organized, but also want to protect it from moisture and dust, choose waterproof stuff bags or pack sacks. They are made from materials with a waterproof coating and the seams are either taped or waterproof welded. These dry bags have a roll closure to prevent moisture from getting inside through the opening. You have to roll it two or three times to close it tightly, and you can also use it to regulate the volume.
Pack sacks made from lightweight materials with taped seams are suitable for waterproof stowing of clothing and equipment in your rucksack. Pack sacks with a larger volume, made of robust materials and with welded seams, such as the WP Stuffbag, can be used on a canoe trip or as a pack sack on a motorcycle or bicycle.
We use hard-wearing polyester and nylon fabrics in various designs and thicknesses for our pack sacks and bags. They are either multi-coated with silicone or PU or have a special PU/TPU coating that is suitable for waterproof sealing.
All materials are treated with a dirt and water-repellent, PFAS-free impregnation.
