A trekking tour is almost certainly on every outdoor enthusiast’s bucket list: turning your back on civilization at least once in your life, seeing no neighbors while camping, experiencing nature up close. A dream come true! Alongside your tent, your trekking backpack is your most important piece of equipment: you need to be able to carry it fully loaded over long distances as comfortably as possible and, above all, without straining your back. We recommend our tried-and-tested and much-loved trekking classic Yukon, which is available as a unisex backpack and as a special women’s backpack.
Click here for all Yukon backpacksThe size-adjustable V2 Carrying System of the Yukon is developed for loads up to 25 kilograms. A combination of aluminum and GRP rods (1, 2) ensures an excellent balance between efficient load transfer and flexibility. The ergonomically designed hip belt with lumbar padding (3) and three-dimensionally shaped hip wings (4) is comfortably padded and prevents the backpack from slipping. The concave back padding (5) ensures optimum support and good contact with the backpack – sufficient freedom of movement even when fully loaded. The load control straps (6), the comfortable shoulder straps (7) and the lid height (8) are adjustable and allow a precise fit. With the V2 Carrying System Women, the back length and shoulder straps are adapted to the female anatomy.
The large zipper opening into the main compartment proves to be very convenient when packing. You can quickly access the contents of your backpack at any time, even when you’re on the move, without having to “rummage” from top to bottom.
The all-round compression straps are perfect for attaching a sleeping mat or tent to the outside of the backpack.
We explain all the features of our Yukon trekking backpack in detail on the product detail pages of the individual models.
Our Yukon trekking backpacks are made from hard-wearing and abrasion-resistant polyamide fabrics that are waterproof thanks to a multiple polyurethane coating on the inside of the fabric. The extremely robust CORDURA® material on the bottom of the backpack proves to be reliable, and the bottom is also reinforced with a second layer of fabric. All fabrics used have a PFAS-free DWR finish, making them dirt and water repellent.
Nothing gives more pleasure than equipment that lasts a long time! If your backpack has suffered damage on your trekking tour, our repair service will take care of restoring it.
Our trekking backpacks are produced fairly in our own SA8000-certified production facilities. You can also see the high social standards for yourself through our Open Factory program. Every Friday you can visit our Mountech Co. Ltd. factory in Ho Chi Minh City while production is running.
