Are you planning a trekking tour, are you going to warm regions or are extreme weather conditions to be expected, do you have a lot of equipment or luggage with you?
If you are looking for a robust tent for 3 people for a camping trip or trekking tour, the trekking tents from our Allround line are a good choice. For tours in harsher areas and more extreme weather conditions, the ultralight trekking tent Polar 3 from our Expert/Expert LT line is a good choice, as is a lightweight tent. The Gargia 3 or Rokua 3 from the Expert line combine low weight with extremely generous space and can also be easily stowed in a rucksack or bike bag.
A 3-person tent can also be the right choice for two people if, for example, you want to spend your vacation comfortably at the campsite and have a lot of luggage with you. Our 3-man tents with larger vestibules and a relatively high interior, such as the Alaska 3 DLX or the Alaska 3 Plus, are ideal for this.

All 3-person tents from Tatonka have a tunnel tent construction, which means that they offer very good space utilization with their steep tent walls. Tunnel tents for 3 people are supported by two or three parallel poles. These must be braced lengthways, only then does the tent take on its shape. For the outer tents in our Allround line, we use quadruple PU-coated polyester with a water column of 8,000 mm on the inside. The material is color-fast and has good UV resistance.
For the outer tents in our Expert and Expert Light line, we use silicone-coated nylon 6.6 ripstop fabric with a fiber thickness of 30 or 20 denier. This waterproof material is very light, extremely tear-resistant and extremely durable.
The waterproof groundsheet of our tents is made of PU-coated nylon with a water column of 10,000 mm. This ensures that no water can penetrate, even under pressure from lying in the tent.
The inner tents are made of air-permeable nylon material (particularly light in the Expert tents), and high-quality bug beater mesh with over 1,000 holes/inch² is used for the entrances and mosquito windows.
Tent poles are made of lightweight and break-resistant aluminum alloys, with our Expert tents in Ultra Light design.
