The Tatonka Pyrox Lite 48+10 is the right choice if you are looking for a large touring backpack with a very low weight. It is suitable for ultralight trekking, long-distance hiking or hut-to-hut tours. For experienced users, the Pyrox Lite offers modular options to further reduce the weight or increase the volume of the backpack depending on the tour planning.

With a volume of 48 liters (+10 liters in the lid compartment), the backpack weighs 1.3 kilograms. By removing the lid compartment and hip belt, the backpack weight can be reduced to 1.0 kilogram. When used without the lid, the backpack is closed with a variable-volume roll closure.

Adjustable carrying system for efficient load transfer

The Pyrox Lite’s carrying system is lightly padded in the shoulder and lumbar area and has a padded, flexible hip belt. It can be adjusted to your own back length, thus ensuring efficient load transfer to the pelvic area and relieving strain on the shoulders and spine. The carrying system is designed for a load range of up to 15 kilograms.

Extra-large front and side pockets, gear loops and hip belt pocket

The large pockets on the front and sides can be used with waterproof pack sacks to further increase the volume. The backpack also has gear loops on the front and lid, a hiking pole/ice axe holder, a large zippered pocket on the hip belt and a hydration system preparation.

  Composition 100% Polyamide

  The lightweight, PFC/PFAS-free finished polyamide fabric with yarn thickness 210 denier is waterproof due to triple PU coating. The FD yarn used gives the material a matte surface. It is used for example in hiking backpacks.
